Annals of Dementia

Dementia is the term used for symptoms affecting memory thinking and the ability to do something. It severely affects everyday life and generally involves memory loss in many stages. However, only having memory loss is not enough to prove that you have dementia. It is one of the earliest signs of dementia and is common in older people. It starts from the mildest stage to the last step when a person becomes entirely dependent on another for living.

The Annals of Dementia is a peer reviewed and international journal that acts as a significant forum to publish novel insights into understanding various aspects of Alzheimer's disease. The journal is open access to everyone who wants to understand dementia while finding out its treatment. Therefore, the journal is prominent for disseminating the research, reviews, cases, images, etc.

It involves using various research and instrumentations to facilitate the accurate detection of dementia. No one knows for sure why dementia occurs in older age. There are different forms and stages to it. The reason for publishing the journal is to provide latest scientific information on treating dementia to the global readers.

Dementia is a broad category of brain diseases. It is long-term and not a single condition. It is a general term for describing the symptoms of memory impairment and communication. Dementia increases only with age, but it is not just a normal part of aging. The death of brain cells causes dementia. Sometimes when people suffer from head injuries, they also might have dementia in the long run. The most common is Alzheimer's disease making up about 50 % to 70% of the case. Some post-traumatic issues are Parkinson's disease, Huntington's Disease, Down Syndrome, etc. The journal publishes research and reviews covering all areas of dementia. Annals of Dementia is an excellent platform for researchers to know more about the disease.
